Survey away!
I took a quick look at all of the 4 survey options listed. I am not sure which I liked best, but as far as the look and ease the SurveyMonkey wins for me. I thought it was very user friendly, but I did make a mistake on my first survey that I sent to my co-workers and had to edit. I also had to call on Court to assist me right at the end on choosing the best option for posting and responding. I know the Holds Task Force committee members have used the survey monkey in the past for questions about holds from the circulation department. It just seems like a great way to get responses depending of course on how you phrase the questions. You have to be careful not to have to many open-ended questions that require more time to answer or you may not receive many responses.

Other Social Networks
I commented and badged. I guess we did not have to post about this, but I will anyway. Phil, you can rent an apartment and find a single person in Bloomington along with commenting, badging, adding video and photos. I just wanted to make sure you knew all of the options available on the NING offspring! haha

Thing 16

Facebook

I already had a facebook account before arriving here at thingy 16. I think facebook seems to be a better choice for me because all of my friends and family are users. My space makes me think of more teenage users. I really like having a facebook account now, but at first I thought it was not going to be useful. I have kept in touch with my out of town family members with facebook and have viewed many photographs never seen before. There are so many different groups to join which makes it interesting. I can see why facebook and my space are becoming popular, just as texting on the cell phone is. It is the new way of communication. I hope to see a connection with our teens and the library someday.

Podcasts,

Well not my favorite 23 thingy, but here is a link below that I added for your enjoyment! I listened to some news and something else that I didn't know what it was. I spent most of my time at podcast.com because it was the easiest for me to use. At this time podcasts do not really interest me.

This is precious!! The poor chihuahua.
Thanks to Court for helping me with this one
I am more familiar with youtube, but I did like hulu also. Of course the library has the paging video on youtube which I Think is awesome. I chose this video because I love dogs and my larger dog treats my chihuahua pretty much the same way. My larger dog (part Jack-Russell) will not allow the chihuahua to have any water when we are not there. I think we could promote children's programs using videos and put them on our website! I wonder if Stephanie would like this? Hmmm...
